Bright colors make me happy as compared to black and white which I try as much as possible to avoid. Similarly in life, I choose to remember the good while refraining from thinking about the bad as much as I can. To be ignorant and happy or to be told the truth but miserable. Given the choice, I'd always choose the former, because at the very least I live each day with a smile.

For once i thought that i could spent at least this one day feeling truly happy. But even when it's my birthday today, you won't let me. And now I'm crying in the middle of the night because of the same damn thing. I feel so helpless but i know i cant do anything to rectify the situation.

Every single day, I see dear mummy suffering. Physically due to insomnia and lack of appetite, mentally because of your insensitivity and selfishness. From a 54kg radiant, fine-looking woman, till now, 45kg, haggard and overworked. Every day, she is tolerating so much unjust, but you never appreciated what she has done. Instead, you blame her for every single thing that went wrong, picked a fight with her whenever you could and you even scolded her insane. Insane? Have you actually thought of what she went through? Who forced her into such a pathetic state? It was you, damn it. IT WAS YOU.

I hate that you are creating so much problems in this family. Just scram and let there be peace in this home. I don't need a father like you.

When I was young, you'd hold my little hands whenever we crossed the road. You'd tuck me into bed. You'd piggyback me whenever I complained that my legs were tired. You'd buy me sweets whenever I cried. You'd do anything to make me happy.

As I grew older, the distance between us widened. You'd be so caught up with work. You'd spend lesser time at home. But you loved me all the same. You'd still shower me with your love in your own subtle ways. You'd buy me my favourite black pepper crabs for supper. You'd buy me the latest phone, the latest mp3. You'd make the effort to have breakfast with me every weekend to make up for the time you lost to interact with me. You'd try your best to compensate for me by satisfying whatever material wants I had.

Then came a time when things started to change. We talked so little that communication with you started to feel awkward. You'd never come home for dinner. You'd only reach home when I'm asleep. And before I could wake up, you're out of the house. You'd always seem so busy that you can't even spare me a minute of you time. Soon, you were talking to me only when you needed my help and I'd only talked to you when I needed money. Nevertheless, I convinced myself that you still loved me like you always did.

Whatever happened yesterday seemed like a nightmare. But i know that this time it's for real. You don't want me anymore. We spent 20 years together. How could you have the heart to abandon your little girl just like that, daddy?

HELLO WORLD! I'm back to revive this dead space here. HAHA. :)

For the past month, it has been work work and more work. Every single day, it's the same routine. Wake up, wash up, off to work, back home, sleep.. and the cycle repeats. But I cant be any happier to get to know so many new friends in such a short time. I have a bunch of crazy colleagues that does the craziest things. From playing Puzzle Fighter at MBS information desk to kill time (shhhhhhh :P) to Glutton Bay & Chomp Chomp suppers to prawning till 2am to playing sparklers at ECP at 3am, all these despite having to work morning shift the next day! I'm gonna miss them so badly after I quit.

On the other hand, I'm quitting in two days' time which means I'm gonna have more time to catch up with my other friends. I feel that I've neglected them ever since i started work. Sigh. So sorry my dears, especially sam. :(

Shall end off on a happier note, it's 6 more days to Bintan trip! :D

Since the day I was born, you have been my role model, someone I look up to, someone I highly respect. Through the years, communication between us has dwindled, even something as simple as having a meal with you seemed impossible. Though the gap between us has widened, deep down in my heart, I am still very grateful to you and I love you. Because without you, I wouldn't even have existed. All these years, I constantly reassure myself that you do love us like before.

Whatever that happened today, it hit me really hard. Even as I'm typing this, i feel my tears flowing uncontrollably. I believe you do care for this family. Tell me it's not true, please.

We managed to sneak up to the SkyPark during work today! (You actually have to pay $20++ for the entrance fee.) Our in-charge told us to go up there to give out flyers as a pretext to view the place. Best supervisor i ever had for any job! :) The pictures don't do any justice to the magnificent view, all thanks to my lousy phone camera. The actual view is far more breathtaking, i swear! :)

Most unique feature of the SkyPark has to be the infinity pool, which means there is only a transparent glass panel at the far end of the swimming pool.

But sadly, only hotel guests are allowed to swim there. :(

Really admire those who just leaned back at the edge and relaxed.

Positive Thinking Power: Dr Emoto's Rice Experiment

Most people agree that positive thinking has power. But just how much power is debatable. Masaru Emoto, a researcher and alternative healer from Japan has given the world a good deal of evidence of the magic of positive thinking.

His experiments demonstrate that human thoughts and intentions can alter physical reality, in this case the molecular structure of water. Given that humans are comprised of at least 60% water, his discovery has far reaching complications. Can anyone really afford to have negative thoughts or intentions?

The rice experiment is a famous Emoto demonstration of the power of negative thinking (and conversely, positive thinking).

In this experiment, Dr Emoto placed portions of cooked rice into two containers. On one container he wrote "thank you" and on the other "you fool". He then instructed school children to say the labels on the jars out loud everyday when they passed them by. After 30 days, the rice in the container with positive thoughts had barely changed, while the other was moldy and rotten.

If you guys own an iphone, you should go download this! It's called the Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock. As you sleep, you go through different phases that range from deep sleep to light sleep. The phase you are in when your alarm clock goes off is a critical factor regarding how tired you will feel when you wake up. Since you move differently in bed during the different phases, Sleep Cycle uses the sensitive accelerometer in your iphone to monitor your movement to determine which sleep phase you are in. Sleep Cycle then wakes you up in your lightest sleep phase- a natural way to wake up where you feel rested and relaxed!

As you can see, i'm an extremely light sleeper. HAHAHA. Anw, the important point is that, you can see that it wakes you up within 30 mins of the alarm time set. For example, i set my alarm at 5.45am, but my lightest sleeping phase was around 5.29am, so it woke me up. And according to Nicky, it accurately woke him up right after he ended his dream. Be it psychological impact or what, it really works! And all thanks to this, i stayed awake throughout lecture today. :)

So if you find yourself constantly feeling tired or dozing off during lectures,

HAPPIE CHINESE NEW YEAR! :D

Gained quite a bit from this year's angbaos! But since my bank account is drying up, im not gonna spend the money i earned, im gonna save them. YES SAVE THEM! :) And I have a really bad throat ulcer coz i think i ate too much CNY goodies and bakwa. Boooooo. :(

After the steamboat session wif kc and ym at BB's house today, i can really say i've had enough of steamboats. No steamboat for me for at least the next month pls. HAHAHA.

School at 830 tmr. Such a spoiler. And i hate fridays! Everyone goes home at 1030 but i've got comm studies till 330. RAWRRR. Lesson learnt? Dont get electives that has classes on fridays! Grrrrrr. Thankfully BB's driving to school tmr so it isnt that bad. Oh wells, i guess that's about it. Time for bed! :)

Today was spent at home, helping mummy to do a bit of cleaning. Changed bedsheets, vacuumed, mopped. And i managed to squeeze my textbooks into the shelf! Which means now i have ample space on my desk to display my cards and gifts from BB! YAY! And thanks for helping me wif the cleaning today! :)

On a side note, i think i should really find time to clear my wardrobe. I have a line of clothes sitting on the bamboo waiting to get their places inside. Got a feeling that mummy is gonna nag about it soon. And with the addition of new clothes for CNY, it spells disaster. And did i mention, i cant wait for CNY to come! Valentine's day + steamboat + ba kwa + unlimited yummy snacks + $$$!

Wheeeeee! Shoppinng wif nicky and his mummy at parkway today. Nicky got himself some really nice clothes for CNY! And although i'm supposedly done wif mine alr, I got myself a checkered top and a pair of checkered shorts anyway. Seems like i'm getting influenced by his craze for checks! HAHA.

The weekend just got ruined wif my 2 lab reports due next week, not mention the weekly dose of tutorials. Boooooooooo.

Thanks for the smses, everyone. I'm feeling okay, really. Now it's the upcoming quizzes and due lab reports that are stressing me out. But knowing that all of you out there care so much for me, i'll work hard i promise! :) Right now, i just wanna complete BS101 tutorial and hit the bed. Spent more than an hr trying to translate 10 strings of super long base codes into amino acids, only to realise i did it the wrong way. BLOODY HELL. Anw, i'm gonna stick to my answers. I'll just go blind if i do it all over again. -.-

And accounting quiz was alright today. Phew! Questions were generated at random, so i guess i was pretty lucky to get the easy questions. Thank God. :)

I'm totally disgusted by what jean just told me! :/ She was just telling me that people in shanghai eat dogs and rabbits just like how we eat chicken and pork. Every restaurant that you step into sells them. Roasted, double boiled, gong bao, jiang cong, stewed, stir fried wif vegetables.... anyway you want it, they've got it. Imagine our poor terry and kibby cooked that way. Man, these people are really sick. :/

That's why she told me to be very careful when ordering food there. But it just came across my mind that since the restaurant serves dog and rabbit meat, wouldnt they use the same woks and pots to cook their food too? Hmmmmm. I just freaked her out wif that and she says she's gonna eat KFC tonite. HAHAHAHAH. :P

I think i'm getting more forgetful by the day. :/

Two weeks ago, i left my lab report at home and had to skip lecture so that i can travel back home to get it in time. Yesterday, i was so glad i remembered to bring my lab report to school. But guess what, i forgot to hand it up. -.- So i made the 2hr trip all the way back to school today just to submit it. How stoopid luh.

Oh and i realised i lost 1.5kg since last week. Guess i should stop skipping my meals because it'll only make my weight drop further and worsen my gastric problems. Oh wells. :(

Mummy bought quite a lot of bread from Bread Society at Ion Orchard ytd. Man, they're really really delicioussss. And the price is very reasonable too. Those who havent tried it should really really go try. (:

I'm feeling better by the day. At least there's no more crying and sobbing at night.

In life, there's many things that we have to learn to let go. We have to let go of situations, things, memories, people and even ourselves.

It's easy to form an attachment to people and things. When you've formed an attachment to people and things, it can be a very painful experience and feeling when you realized that it's time to let go. Even the mere thought of not having that person or thing in your life just squeezes your heart in pain.

However, there are times where you or that person has changed to the extent that it's necessary to let go of the relationship or friendship, so that each of you can fulfill your life path.

Letting go of your past and memories are also extremely hard. Even though old memories can be tormenting, yet you might hold on to the past and refuse to move forward. However, by refusing to let go of the painful past, it'll serve as a roadblock to love.

Letting go of your old self and the process of letting the new you emerge can be one of the scariest experiences in your life. But by leaving behind your old self and taking a leap of faith into the unknown, it might just reveal what you are truly capable of becoming.

If not for the word "debit" that the lecturer repeated over and over again, (which made me thought that she was calling my name), i would have slept throughout the entire 1.5hrs. Haha. I alr have so much difficulties understanding the lecture, i have no idea as to how i'm gonna start the tutorial. Guess i should S/U it so that it doesnt pull my GPA down.

I was really motivated to study today simply because we donated our old desktop to Salvation Army, so i have my own study space now! Even though i have a L-shaped study table, i always cant find a good spot to study. Because it used to be occupied by 2 desktops and mountains of my sister's books. My timetable is totally screwed up! Had a 5hr break ytd, spent it wif kc eating lunch, buying textbooks, slacking in her room and napping. Man, 5hrs nvr felt that long. Poor kibby is down wif conjunctivitis. *heart breaks* :(

When i came back from my short trip, i noticed that his right eyelid was swollen and his eyes were tearing nonstop. So mummy and keith accompanied me to bring kibby down to the vet the next day. After a thorough check, the vet found a slight lump underneath his right eyelid. And his left eyelid was swollen too. :(

He's currently on 2 different kinds of eyedrops, twice a day. And i dunno if it's his eyes that are causing his loss of appetite. Usually he can finish 2 big spoonfuls of pellets in a meal, but for the entire day ytd, he couldnt even finish a spoonful. I gotta feed the pellets to him one by one, and same goes for the hay, strand by strand. If not, he doesnt touch the food at all. Sobs. Hopefully he'll recover soon. :(

And his vet trip cost me close to a hundred bucks. Zzzzzz. Sometimes i really wonder why they charge so much for animals when they use almost the same kind of drugs as us. Hmmm guess i gotta be more frugal for the rest of the month. Just a few days away and he got sick. Gonna think twice about travelling next time. :(

Finally i've switched to a much simpler blogskin. Now the page loads much faster, doesnt it? Hmmm. I've spent the past 2 days rotting at home. I slept for 20 hrs straight ytd coz no one woke me up. Now my body clock is screwed up again. :( Anw today, i came across this picture of kibby when i was looking thru the pictures in my phone.

MANNNNN. i cant believe kibby was once this tiny innocent creature that can sit so obediently on my palm. Now he's like a total rascal, turning my whole house upside down. HAHA. But he's still cute! :) Hmmmmm. I feel like taking him to the park one day...

and Drag Me To Hell is the most frightening horror film i've ever watched. It's not the storyline that freaks me out, it's that old gypsy woman. Somehow her image just keeps haunting me. :/

I still havent finished watching Boys Over Flowers. Not that i'm slow, but because i dont want the show to end so fast. :( And Yi Jung is no longer my eyecandy, it's JI HOO SUNBAE! after his haircut, he's so cute! (not gay please) :D

Headed down to NTU wif kc for our medical checkup.
No waiting queues at all.
Everything was fast & efficient.
Eyesight testing was done in less than a min,
i mean it literally. Haha.
Then just some blood pressure & pulse check and
off for the urine test.
Encountered some probs wif the urine test because
the lady didnt allow me to take the urine test.
She said it was near the date of my period and
she didnt want to waste the indicator.
WTH my period isnt even here yet.
She told me to make another trip back
9 days after my period, just for the urine test. -.-
So keechen suggested that i should go ahead
and see how the results go.
In the end, it turned out fine. :)
So girls, if you encounter the same situation,
just insist on taking it! :P

Then we had to go over to jurong medical centre
to have our x-ray taken.
Even though we were dressed as told,
we still had to strip and put on the robes provided.
So i dont see why we were asked to wear white tops.
By the end of the x-ray,
both of us were starving like mad.
We lunched at jurong point,
shopped around for a while and
then headed back home.

The train journey is really zzzzz.
I cant imagine myself travelling like that
every single day.
Perhaps i should just consider staying in a hostel.
Hmmmm.

BOOHOOOO. today is a bad bad day. :(

firstly, i found out that parkway college pays me $9.50 per hour but i'm only paid $6 per hour because recruit express took away $3.50 per hour. and after calculating, i earned $29.75 lesser in a day, making it up to a freaking $595 a month!!!!!!! *heart shatters* i knew they took commission but i din expect it to be so much. imagine how much things i can buy wif this amount of money! to think that all these while i'm like a money tree for them, waking up so early, working my guts out, just to let them suck the money out of me! thank god my job is ending next fri. i swear i'm never ever gonna get a job thru any agency from now on! FISHHHHHHHHHHH.

and to make things worse, i got accepted into NUS real estate. i actually forgot that it was one of my choices. -.- so now i'm having this huge dilemma of whether i should take the risk of forgoing NTU bio science and accept NUS real estate so that i can appeal to NUS science, or should i just be contented wif NTU bio science? :( anyway if you are wondering why i decided to do science instead of my interest psychology, i've been brainwashed by the lecturers at my workplace about the disadvantages of taking psychology that i'm kinda scared of it alr. even though the subject really interests me, i dont think it's suitable as a long term career. so yup, that's why i decided to do science. but which option should i take? someone knock some sense into my peabrain. :(

wheewhoooo!~ today is a great day out! shopped at vivo and my dear boy bought me a lot of stuff, which makes me a happie girl! :) :) :) then we went over to marine parade to get kibby's food and bedding. and since mummy told me to get the biggest pack for both, there were 5kg of food and 10kg of bedding that i had to lug home. thank god i had my macho boy to help me! :D

anyway, work for me is ending in about 2 weeks time! so girls, we can meet up soon! :)

before i go, just wanna share smth. there's this lady in her 50's at my workplace and she's super funny. she always gives me and yeele (my temp friend) topics to laugh about during lunch. we called her sunshine because she's always look so "bright"! (due to her choice of fluorescent coloured clothes, because she tinks she looks younger in that way) haha. anyway because of our age gap, both yeele and i seem to have difficulties communicating wif her.

sunshine: i ordered a pair of new spectacles and it's ready tmr! it's red and black!(followed by a big grin)

yeele: haiyo, why you choose such emo colours?

sunshine: what's emo? is it a cartoon character?

celebrated my dear boy's bday on the 17th! i baked the cheesecake myself okie! my first attempt and i succeeded! ;)

alrites, havent been updating because work is tiring me out. so the moment i get home i eat dinner and then fly to lalaland. my temperature has been fluctuating drastically for the past few days, ranging from 35.3 to 38.6. :/

anw i embarrassed myself at work today! :( i tore my stockings because my bracelet got stuck in it and i happily pulled it off, tinking that it was stuck to my top. (not that i have the habit of wearing stockings, but because it's a requirement by the college if my skirt lies above the knee) -.- and to make things worse, the photocopier was being stubborn today. for every 1 or 2 copies made, the paper got jammed. so the only way to solve it is to open the side door, pull out the jammed paper, close it, pull out the paper tray and slam it back to get the machine going again. and i was told to make 250 copies today, so you can imagine how many times i squatted and stood up, squatted and stood up, squatted and stood up... hopefully i dun get muscle cramps tmr morning.

alrites, i've finished complaining and i'm off to do some online shopping to make me feel happier. a colleague of mine is organising a spree. WHEEEEEEE!~ :D

wheeeeeeee. so far i've been really enjoying my job! but somehow i feel that they're underpaying me. :( preparation of attendance lists, pre-preparation for courses, photocopying of lecture notes, invigilation of theory tests, marking of test papers, doing evaluation reports, facilitating the students wif e learning. those are the jobs of the admin assistant and course manager, but bcoz they lack manpower, i'm doing all these chores in a single day, every day. but it's really fun, so i dont mind actually. :)

last week my recruit express agent asked if i wanted her to send in my resume for a temp job at bukit merah. i din think that i would get shortlisted anyway, so i just agreed. but damn, i was selected for the job! and it starts tmr. -.- initially i was very happie coz my source of income is finally back! :) but as i thought further, i gotta wake up at 545 every morning.. nvm... squeeze into the packed train all the way till redhill... okie la... transfer bus after that... hmmm no choice... but after signing the contract, she told me i had to wear formal wear, strictly no jeans and tshirts. BLOODY HELL. i regretted signing the damn contract. but i guess i have no other alternatives, gotta stick to it for the month. thank god it's only 1 month. so yup, i'm gonna be working for parkway college of nursing till the end of may. wish me luck.

after that we headed to robinson's sale at expo.

i din see any watch that i liked but
i ended up spending close to 100 bucks today because

we both ended up on the floor.

we crashed into the car behind while reversing,
ended up wif a super big dent and the bumper came off.
but the really weird thing was that
after we travelled from katong to pasir ris,
the dent totally disappeared and the car looked AS GOOD AS NEW.

alrights, i've sent my applications.

even though my choices were swayed along the way,

ultimately i chose to stick to psychology. :)

nvm what others say,

even if i'm gonna end up as a social worker at IMH,

at least i know i'll be studying smth i really like and

i'm doing smth i really have passion for. :)

if i really end up doing social work,

you better stick to your promise about supporting me! :D

i'm here to update because
i realised the extreme surge in number of hits for the past few days.

anyway i'm still rather confused about which courses to choose.

my only interest is in psychology.

but having arts and social science as my only choice is too risky.

what if both NUS and NTU dont take me in? :/

anyway a big THANK YOU to samsam for enlightening me! (:

i know nuts about the applications.

and reading the booklets just made me even more confused.

hopefully i can make up my mind soon.

sometimes i wish i can be as decisive as others.

i caught marley & me today!
it's really good.
but the part where marley died, it made me cry. :'(
anw still a great show, one i would certainly reccommend.
just make sure you bring tissue along.
haha. :D

and watching the movie makes me ponder about the day when kibby dies.
i know it's still a long long way to go.
but still, it made me reflect.
the times when i'm tired from a hard day at work and i leave kibby alone.
now i feel rather guilty for not spending enough time wif him.
so i promise from tmr onwards,
no matter how tiring the day has been,
i'm gonna treasure every moment i have wif my sweetie! :)

and boring myself at work.

worst of all, another 6 days before i see keith.

the only consolation is that i'm another week nearer to the end of my contract.
